Novak Djokovic defeated Albert Ramos-Viñolas 6-1, 6-4 in the second round in 1.26hs victory on Tuesday.
Novak looked good in his first clay match in 2015. The top-seeded Serb forged a one set lead in dominant fashion. A break in the seventh game of the second set was enough for the 2013 champion to improve his H2H mark with the Spaniard to 2-0.

Nole about his match vs Ramos-Viñolas: “I felt very good. Considering the number of months that I haven´t played on the clay courts, to play against somebody that is a clay-court specialist, and win two sets, I thought it was a very good performance. I can just take positives from today.”
Earlier during he week Nole said is the favourite: “Whenever the clay-court season comes around, he is the first player to be mentioned as the favourite in any tournament. They call him King of Clay, and he definitely has deserved that crown because of the results and achievements he has in his career, specially on this surface.”
Novak will play against world no.52 Andreas Haider-Maurer on Thursday for a place in the ATP Masters 1000 event quarter-finals. It will be their first career meeting.
