Novak beats Kohlschreiber and gets in QFs in Rome

Novak Djokovic defeated Philipp Kohlschreiber 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 in 1 hour and 55 minutes in the third round on Thursday evening in Rome.

Kohlschreiber had a 4-0 lead in the first and he took the set 6-4. But at the end Nole started too move better.During the match Nole was complaining to the umpire about the quality of the court.

Djokovic said he couldn’t find his rythm at all at start, conditions so different from 1st match. But served great and found a way.


“I was trying to spin the ball too much and the court wasn’t getting that necessary bounce that I was looking for, but then I started to be a little bit more aggressive and open up the court. It worked well.”

“[Ferrer] has had an incredible career overall, but especially on clay,”. “It’s going to be a big challenge and we’ll see where my game is.”said Djokovic

Boris Becker and Marian Vajda are working in Rome with Nole this time.
